God created the digestive system of a dog to need the bacteria that comes with raw meat. They are not humans; their gut is not designed like ours. They do not need to chew their food; rather, they were created to scarf it down quickly in big chunks to be digested in the stomach that is filled with all the good bacteria and enzymes that come from a species-appropriate diet.

Just as a wild wolf or canine animal thrives on meat, organs and bones, it is this same form of nourishment that our dog's digestive system needs in order to be efficient.

This natural diet provides nutrients for proper growth, development, immunity and longevity.

A side note for feeding bones: They must be RAW, never cooked. Cooked bones have lost many nutrients by the time they go into the dog's body and can splinter within. Commercial chew bones are filled with chemicals, beware! They cause diarrhea and other poor health issues. We use Raw Marrow Bones instead. We let them have it in their crate or outside. The dog usually gets all the marrow out of it in an hour or two. Then they can bring it into the house to chew all week.

Our previous dogs ate only kibble and lived with many ailments and diseases. The dogs we have now have been fed only raw foods and experience excellent health. We have not had any episodes of salmonella poisoning or other issues that may pop up in your research. Use your logic and look at the proof. History records animals living longer, healthier lives before kibble and medication. Look at the way God designed animals to eat and live.

You will want to research the raw diet you are most comfortable with. You can look into the SARF and BARF diets, among others. There is a plethora of raw dog food sites and videos online. Their testimonies of healthy, friendly animals are very encouraging.

A species appropriate diet protects your dog from parasite overload, allergies, joint disease and digestive issues.

WE USE: raw meat, raw bones, raw organs, Whole raw eggs, fish, Raw milk and some fresh fruits, shredded vegetables and nutritional herbs.

BENEFITS we have personally seen from a Raw Food Diet:

  • Raw meaty bones give the dogs clean teeth, naturally! They also give the dog a chance to work their jaw bones, which releases tension in the jaw and is a stress reliever!

  • Shinier coat

  • Healthier skin

  • More energy

  • Smaller stool

  • Strong immune system

Thanks to raw meaty bones, plenty of exercise, and fun training times, we haven't had any aggression issues (contrary to the fear-mongering articles that want you to feed kibble out of fear not logic).
