Ginger (Dam)
Ginger is a Labrador/Golden Retriever. She is very smart and energetic, having learned a number of tricks. She is food motivated and often exhibits prompt obedience. She instinctively knows to comfort anyone speaking with a stressed tone. It's so sweet. She motivates us to go for walks or think up various obstacle courses for her to run through.
Ginger instinctively knows how to give her pups a strong mind and body. Since the first day of her pregnancy she has sought out extra petting and attention from us. Every time we pet her, the body sends signals of safety and contentment to her puppies.
One of the first days of pregnancy she chose to fast, getting her body ready for just the right nutrients. God's designs are amazing even in these details!
Captain (Sire)
Captain is a lab mix. He is always ready to play Frisbee, yet ever content to sit by your side and be pet. We delight in petting his super soft, fluffy coat.
He becomes extra protective of Ginger during her pregnancy, and after she whelps the pups he even gives Ginger his food for a few days. He is so focused on being ready to play with us, that food is not a motivation for him. He prefers praise and Frisbee time as his rewards.
